How to use the "Other" category to exclude transactions from rolling up to income statement.

If a User is not sure to which category a transaction needs to be tagged or User wishes to exclude a transaction from Income statement, Nota provides an option to tag the transaction to a category of type “Other”.

In Chart of Accounts, under the Income Statement tab, there is a pre-defined Category Header “Other” of type “Other”.

A User can create a Category under this header, e.g “Personal Expense” or “Ask My Accountant”. By tagging transactions to these categories, the User can park the transactions which they are not sure to which category they need to be tagged.

The transactions tagged to this category, will not be included in the Income Statement.
