Begin by opening the client matter housing the transaction tag you’d like to edit/reallocate. Or you can go to the “All transactions” screen.
- Locate the transaction tag you need to edit by opening the client matter that contains it or go to the “All Transactions” screen.
- Click the edit icon to the right side of the transaction line and select “Edit allocation” if the transaction is already allocated or “Edit transaction tag.” If transaction is not yet allocated to any Client Matter.
- A new “Edit client matter tag” window will open:
- Click inside of the gray box displaying the client’s name.
- From the drop-down menu, select the name of the client you’d like the transaction reallocated to.
- Click the “save” button. Your edited transaction tag is complete and is now reallocated
All set! Your transaction will be reallocated, and housed inside of the newly designated client matter!
If you are not sure where to re-tag that item, you can also click the “X” next to the name. This will send the transaction back to your “untagged” list.
